2016 General Election Candidates: Dublin West

All eyes will be on Dublin West to see if Tánaiste Joan Burton keeps her seat or not. With Labour floundering in the polls, and strong names such as Fine Gael's Leo Varadkar and the AAA-PBP's Ruth Coppinger also campaigning, it's debatable whether Burton is safe or not. She is running alone, while Varadkar is running alongside Senator Catherine Noone. Fianna Fáil, which had briefly held a seat here until Brian Lenihan's death, are fielding Jack Chambers, Sinn Féin have Paul Donnelly and the Green candidate is Roderic O'Gorman.

TDs elected in 2011:
Joan Burton (Lab), Leo Varadkar (FG), Joe Higgins (SP), Brian Lenihan (FF)
2011 by-election to replace Lenihan: Patrick Nulty (Lab) - resigned in March 2014
2014 by-election to replace Nulty: Ruth Coppinger (SP)
