2016 General Election Candidates: Dublin South West

See constituencies in:
Connacht & Ulster | Leinster | Munster

Dublin South West has already seen quite a lot of change. With an extra seat this time around, Labour's Pat Rabbitte stepping down, Fine Gael's Brian Hayes having gone to the European Parliament in 2014 and the Anti-Austerity Alliance's Paul Murphy replacing him, all eyes will be on this constituency as the results are announced.

Sinn Féin are running incumbent TD Seán Crowe with Cllr. Sarah Holland, hoping that their 30% share of the vote received in the by-election won by Murphy will lead to a similar result this time around. The AAA-PBP have a similar idea, with Sandra Fey joining Murphy on their ticket. Labour are also running two candidates, but with Rabbitte stepping down and their poll numbers down, it's unlikely either candidate will be successful. Likewise, the three Fine Gael candidates are all would-be newcomers to the Dáil. Among the independent candidates, people will be watching former Labour TD Eamonn Maloney and Senator Katherine Zappone, who received a lot of attention during the Marriage Equality referendum.

TDs elected in 2011:
Dublin South West (4 seats):
Pat Rabbitte (Lab), Brian Hayes (FG), Seán Crowe (SF), Eamonn Maloney (Lab)
2014 by-election to replace Hayes: Paul Murphy (AAA)
