Even if all of the incumbent TDs from what used to be Dublin North are re-elected, there's still an extra seat for someone new to win. Fine Gael's James Reilly and Alan Farrell are running to keep their seats, and Labour's Brendan Ryan is running alone this time. Former Fianna Fáil TD Darragh O'Brien is running alongside Lorraine Clifford-Lee. Former Socialist Party, now independent TD Clare Daly is also running.
